AI Thread Summary
To convert non-functional laptops into external hard drives, the first step is to remove the hard drives from the laptops. It is essential to find appropriate drive enclosures that accommodate 2.5" drives, which are standard for laptops. These enclosures should support USB 2.0 or IEEE-1394 (Firewire) connections. Users can search online computer shops or visit physical stores to purchase these enclosures, where staff can assist in selecting the right products. This process allows for the repurposing of old hard drives into functional external storage for new laptops.

I have three laptops which no longer work. I want to take the hard drives out of them and make external hard drives for my new laptop. What do I need to do? I have no idea where to even start.

search your favourite online computer shop for drive enclosures. You will probably need ones that accept 2.5" drives (drive form factor commonly found in laptops) and support either USB 2.0, IEEE-1394 (aka Firewire) or both. Or head to your favourite brick and mortar computer shop and show them what you need. They should be able to hook you up fairly easily.

I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
