AI Thread Summary
A forensic reconstruction of Copernicus' face has been created, supported by DNA evidence linking hair found in his books to skeletal remains discovered in a 14th-century grave at Frombork Cathedral. Researchers confirmed that the DNA from the skeleton matches that of the hair, providing strong evidence that the remains belong to Nicolaus Copernicus. This discovery may resolve long-standing questions regarding his burial site. The skeletal remains were unearthed in 2005, and the findings have garnered significant attention in the scientific community. The reconstruction and DNA analysis mark a pivotal moment in understanding the life and death of this influential astronomer.

This purports to be a forensic reconstruction of Copernicus' face. Not sure exactly where to post this, but would like to share it with the widest audience possible.

Didn't I see him on 'Law & Order' a couple of weeks ago?

So now, DNA results of hairs collected from books Copernicus owned, indicate they are from the same person as that found in the unmarked grave buried in the 14th-century Frombork Cathedral in Poland where Nikolaus served as a canon. The skeletal remains were found in 2005. This is strong supporting evidence that the body they found, are the remains of Nikolaus Copernicus.

TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation.
