Four Fundamental Forces: What Are They and How Do They Shape Our World?

AI Thread Summary
The four fundamental forces are the strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force, electromagnetic force, and gravitational force. The strong nuclear force binds quarks to form protons and neutrons and holds atomic nuclei together, mediated by gluons. The weak nuclear force is responsible for atomic decay, mediated by W and Z particles. The electromagnetic force governs the attraction and repulsion between charged particles, such as electrons and protons. Lastly, the gravitational force influences the formation of celestial bodies and governs the orbits of planets and moons, as well as natural phenomena like tides.

1-as u might know protons repel from from each other strongly so how are they bonded together is the nucleus well its because of the strong nuclear force which binds quarks together to form protons and neutrons and it binds protons and neutrons together to form the atomic nuclei.its mediated by a particle called gluon.
2-the weak nuclear force is responsible for the decay of atoms and particles and it is mediated by 2 particles z and w.
3- the electromagnetic force is responsible for the repulsion and attraction of charged particles-electrons and protons.
4-the gravitational force is responsible for combining atoms together to form planets stars galaxies , and for the Earth orbiting the sun and moon orbiting the Earth and for the tides...

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Correct statement about a reservoir with an outlet pipe'
The answer to this question is statements (ii) and (iv) are correct. (i) This is FALSE because the speed of water in the tap is greater than speed at the water surface (ii) I don't even understand this statement. What does the "seal" part have to do with water flowing out? Won't the water still flow out through the tap until the tank is empty whether the reservoir is sealed or not? (iii) In my opinion, this statement would be correct. Increasing the gravitational potential energy of the...
