Get Expert Help with Mesh Analysis for Circuit Equations | Homework Assistance

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on mesh analysis for a circuit homework assignment, where the user seeks help in verifying their drawn loops and solving for currents through loads. Participants suggest improving the clarity of the circuit diagram by redrawing it with clear labels and consolidating ground nodes to avoid confusion. They emphasize the importance of recognizing all components of the circuit, particularly the implications of ground symbols that may indicate hidden loops. The advice includes ensuring that all loops are closed and properly accounted for in the analysis. Overall, clear visualization and attention to detail in the circuit layout are crucial for accurate mesh analysis.

Homework Statement

Hi

Basically, I have to learn about mesh analysis and have been given a circuit from which I am meant to find the equations to find the currents through each load in the system. Thing is, I am not sure whether my loops for solving the circuit are correct. Would someone be able to advise as to whether the loops I have drawn on the circuit are correct or not? Also for one part of the circuit, could someone give me some advice as to how I would go about solving as I have no clue?

Many Thanks

This is a very poor description of what you have tried. Try a physically larger (readable!) diagram, which clear labels on your loops and less clutter. I strongly suggest redrawing it so that all the ground nodes are joined together at the bottom of the diagram instead of being all over the place. While you are doing that, give some thought as to why you have just completely ignored part of the circuit when you drew your loops.

Hint: You need to be a bit careful with this one due to the several ground symbols that seem to leave two of the loops open-ended. They actually imply a "hidden" loop...which will become obvious if you follow phinds' suggestion.

The ground symbol indicates a common point of reference (connection) so it's fair game to replace them with wires that connect them all together to make the 'virtual' connections visible.
