Programs Graduate degree program in Physics [from UG in India]

AI Thread Summary
For students from India completing a three-year undergraduate Physics program and seeking to pursue graduate studies abroad, it's essential to research universities that accept such degrees. Engaging with school advisors can provide valuable insights, as they may have experience with similar inquiries from other students. A practical approach includes reaching out directly to professors in the physics departments of mid-level American universities, particularly those in charge of graduate admissions. This direct communication allows prospective students to ask specific questions about eligibility and application requirements, facilitating a clearer understanding of the process and enhancing their chances of acceptance.

I am from India, doing third year undergraduate Physics. This is a three year degree program and I am completing it in another 2 weeks. I would like to move abroad for my graduate studies. But I am not sure how to start, which universities would accept three year degree program, general criteria and special requirements
I would be glad to receive suggestions from my fellow Physics friends
Thank you

Have you checked with your school advisors, surely other students have had this same question?

Pick a mid level American university. Write (email) to a professor in the physics department there. Pick one who is the graduate chairman or admissions chairman, or someone in the field you would like to enter.
Ask them whatever questions you have, and if it would be reasonable for you to apply to their graduate program. Personal contact with a physics department member where you might want to go is the best way to proceed.e

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
