AI Thread Summary
Peltier plates, also known as thermoelectric coolers, come in various types identified by codes like TEC1-12710, TEC1-12706, and TEC1-12705, which can be confusing due to their similar dimensions. The numbers in these codes typically represent the maximum current (Imax) and other specifications that affect performance. Understanding these codes is crucial for selecting the right plate for specific projects, as they indicate differences in cooling capacity and efficiency. Additionally, some models may have special options denoted by letters following the numeric code, which can further influence their application. Properly identifying the right Peltier plate ensures optimal performance in thermoelectric applications.

I need to get a Peltier tile/plate for one of my projects and I got really confused when deciding between them based on No. codes on it, as they're all similar in dimension.

Like for example, I was looking for 4cmx4cm Peltier plate, and I found myself getting confused when there were choices like TEC1-12710, TEC1-12706, TEC1-12705, and I'm not sure if there's even more.

So what are their differences and what do those No. codes even represent?

Browsing an on-line catalogue, it appears that the final decimals code Imax, and the special options are in the alphas following.

Doug, what do you mean by special options...? o.O?

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
