AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the desire to project a heads-up display (HUD) on a car's rear windshield to inform drivers behind about hypermiling practices. Currently, devices are primarily designed to project onto the front windshield, and while they could technically be adapted for the rear, visibility issues due to sunlight or headlights may arise. Participants express skepticism about the effectiveness of communicating hypermiling intentions to following drivers, suggesting it may not alleviate potential frustration. The conversation highlights the need for innovative solutions to achieve the desired display without compromising visibility. Overall, the feasibility of such a project remains uncertain, with no existing devices specifically designed for this purpose.

Hello Guys ,

I want to have my HUD displayed on my car's rear wind shield so that the driver just behind my car has an idea of my driving (Hypermilling)

I have been looking for a possibility to do this but till now I only saw devices that projects the display on the front wind shield, visible to the driver only.

1. Are there any existing device to project the display the way I want ?

If not can some one hint me on how I can achieve my aim.

PS : I drive a hybrid Honda civic 2010 (having the OBD II port).

Thanking you guys in advance

What does that mean?

Any device that projects on the front windscreen will work on the rear. Though, you'll have to mirror the image and it may not be visable to other drivers. Either sunlight or headlights will wash it out.

What information do you need to transmit to drivers behind? I'd guess other drivers get frustrated following you? Telling them you're hypermiling is unlikely to help..

Hi all, I have a question. So from the derivation of the Isentropic process relationship PV^gamma = constant, there is a step dW = PdV, which can only be said for quasi-equilibrium (or reversible) processes. As such I believe PV^gamma = constant (and the family of equations) should not be applicable to just adiabatic processes? Ie, it should be applicable only for adiabatic + reversible = isentropic processes? However, I've seen couple of online notes/books, and...
Thread 'How can I find the cleanout for my building drain?'
I am a long distance truck driver, but I recently completed a plumbing program with Stratford Career Institute. In the chapter of my textbook Repairing DWV Systems, the author says that if there is a clog in the building drain, one can clear out the clog by using a snake augur or maybe some other type of tool into the cleanout for the building drain. The author said that the cleanout for the building drain is usually near the stack. I live in a duplex townhouse. Just out of curiosity, I...
I have an engine that uses a dry sump oiling system. The oil collection pan has three AN fittings to use for scavenging. Two of the fittings are approximately on the same level, the third is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch higher than the other two. The system ran for years with no problem using a three stage pump (one pressure and two scavenge stages). The two scavenge stages were connected at times to any two of the three AN fittings on the tank. Recently I tried an upgrade to a four stage pump...
