Main Points Raised

  • One participant proposes a hypothesis suggesting that our universe could be the end of a black hole, termed a white hole, and seeks literature to support this idea.
  • Another participant mentions Lee Smolin's concept of cosmic natural selection as a potential starting point for exploration, although they express skepticism about it.
  • A different participant asserts that white holes do not exist, claiming they always have been and always will be nonexistent, and directs others to a thread discussing this viewpoint.
  • One participant requests clarification on the content of Lee Smolin's article, indicating a lack of familiarity with it.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the existence of white holes, with some supporting the hypothesis and others firmly rejecting it. The discussion remains unresolved with multiple competing perspectives.

Hello,
I'm currently developing a hypothesis on how our universe could be in fact the end of one black hole; a white hole. I've been having difficulties looking for books or research papers to see if this is in fact just a rip from a larger hypothesis or theory. My teacher had told me to visit forums to see if there is any help out there for this idea that hit me as i was sleeping in her class ha ha. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Dont't bother. White holes are nonexistent. They always have been, they always will be. For more information on white holes go to the why white holes do not exist thred in the astrophysics section.
