Looking for a high vacuum 8" conlfat, any suggestions?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on sourcing an 8" high vacuum conflat with a 5.75" ID, emphasizing the need for at least a 1.5" nipple. The user has explored options at Lesker but finds new products too expensive. They aim to build a complete chamber, including pumps, for under $500. Suggestions for affordable sources or alternatives are requested to help complete the experimental setup within budget constraints. The urgency is highlighted as this conflat is a crucial final component.

Hey guys, I have had a lot of success finding what I need on campus for an experimental setup, but for some reason this piece has been alluding me.

I am trying to source an 8" HV conflat with 5.75" ID. It can have fixed or rotatable holes, be threaded or un-threaded so long as it has at least a 1.5" nipple. Any suggestions?

I have, unfortunately new stuff is expensive.

My goal is to build this new chamber (including mechanical roughing and turbo pumps) for under $500.00. This is one of the final pieces needed to complete this experimental setup, and I am nearly at the end of my budget.

Thread 'Is there a white hole inside every black hole?'
This is what I am thinking. How much feasible is it? There is a white hole inside every black hole The white hole spits mass/energy out continuously The mass/energy that is spit out of a white hole drops back into it eventually. This is because of extreme space time curvature around the white hole Ironically this extreme space time curvature of the space around a white hole is caused by the huge mass/energy packed in the white hole Because of continuously spitting mass/energy which keeps...
Why do two separately floating objects in a liquid "attract" each other ?? What if gravity is an emergent property like surface tension ? What if they both are essentially trying to *minimize disorder at the interfaces — where non-aligned polarized particles are forced to mix with each other* What if gravity is an emergent property that is trying to optimize the entropy emerging out of spin aligned quantum bits
