Homework Statement

Actually i want to ask something actually very easy...
i just don't know the meaning of some words in different questions...
firstly... multiplication of A and B means A*B right?
how about multiplication of A by B means A*B or A/B??

secondly... division of A by B means A/B or B/A?
which one is at the bottom??

thirdly... partial fraction of A over B means A/B right??

i want to ask these questions just to justify with answer...

please help me and thanks...

Yes.

It means A*B. The other is not multiplication.

secondly... division of A by B means A/B or B/A?
which one is at the bottom??
A/B. The one you are dividing by is on the bottom.

thirdly... partial fraction of A over B means A/B right??
Certainly "A over B" means A/B but I don't know what you mean by "partial fraction"

There are two things I don't understand about this problem. First, when finding the nth root of a number, there should in theory be n solutions. However, the formula produces n+1 roots. Here is how. The first root is simply ##\left(r\right)^{\left(\frac{1}{n}\right)}##. Then you multiply this first root by n additional expressions given by the formula, as you go through k=0,1,...n-1. So you end up with n+1 roots, which cannot be correct. Let me illustrate what I mean. For this...
