Safety PLC Review Company Needed

AI Thread Summary
A company in New Hampshire is seeking an independent third party to review their safety PLC code for a $1 million piece of capital equipment using B&R technology. They are looking for a reviewer who can provide certification, emphasizing the importance of safety due to the machine's complexity and the end users' qualifications. Suggestions include searching for local Professional Engineers with software review expertise. A specific link to TUV America was shared as a potential resource for safety certification services. My company is looking to have our safety PLC code reviewed by an independent third party. The machine is a ~$1million piece of capital equipment, my company is based in New Hampshire, and we're using B&R.

Can anyone point me to an independent reviewer?

Maybe do a search of Professional Engineers in your area, looking for software review specialists?

I suppose it's possible. Most of us are PEs anyway, we're really looking for a company that can offer a certification. The challenge is that it's capital equipment... we're not building a factory where we can just post warning signs; we're manufacturing big machines that we're handing off to folks with high school educations.

EDIT: That might be a better idea than I thought. I'm going to follow through on your link, Berkeman. Thanks.

This looks like a company I'm going to look into. Anyone else providing similar services?

Very basic question. Consider a 3-terminal device with terminals say A,B,C. Kirchhoff Current Law (KCL) and Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL) establish two relationships between the 3 currents entering the terminals and the 3 terminal's voltage pairs respectively. So we have 2 equations in 6 unknowns. To proceed further we need two more (independent) equations in order to solve the circuit the 3-terminal device is connected to (basically one treats such a device as an unbalanced two-port...
Thread 'Weird near-field phenomenon I get in my EM simulation'
I recently made a basic simulation of wire antennas and I am not sure if the near field in my simulation is modeled correctly. One of the things that worry me is the fact that sometimes I see in my simulation "movements" in the near field that seems to be faster than the speed of wave propagation I defined (the speed of light in the simulation). Specifically I see "nodes" of low amplitude in the E field that are quickly "emitted" from the antenna and then slow down as they approach the far...
