Technology Opinion request - What falls under Hydro Electric stations?

I need to do research on Hydro Electrical power stations in South Africa.

I am just confused whether I should just write about hydroelectric dams; or should I also include tidal power, wave power, and pumped-storage?

Just the opinion that I need :)

That's probably best decided in consultation with the teacher / professor who assigned the paper! I'm not sure what sort of tidal or wave power solutions Eskom has, but it looks like there's some hydroelectric generation on the Orange River:
