Text Book for Special Relativity

AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a student in lower Sixth Forum seeking resources for studying special relativity. They are specifically looking for a textbook, likely 'Spacetime Physics,' as well as questions with model solutions and a series of exam papers complete with mark schemes. The student notes the challenge of finding a single resource that encompasses all three needs, suggesting that while some books may cover questions and exam papers, it is uncommon to find a comprehensive source that includes all desired materials.

Hello

I'm currently in lower Sixth Forum (Junior in Hight school for the Americans) taking As levels (maths, further maths, physics and chemistry) I'm looking for three things.

1. Text book on special relativity (probably going to buy 'Spacetime Physics')
2. Questions with model solutions.
3. A series of exam papers on special relativity (with a mark scheme).

You don't find all three in a good book. Maybe 2 & 3 are in one book.

Hi, I have notice that Ashcroft, Mermin and Wei worked at a revised edition of the original solid state physics book (here). The book, however, seems to be never available. I have also read that the reason is related to some disputes related to copyright. Do you have any further information about it? Did you have the opportunity to get your hands on this revised edition? I am really curious about it, also considering that I am planning to buy the book in the near future... Thanks!
