Understanding Flux Meters and Field Strength Measurement

AI Thread Summary
Flux meters operate by measuring the electromagnetic field strength through the principle of electromagnetic induction. They detect changes in magnetic flux, which is then converted into an electrical signal for quantification. The discussion highlights the need for clear resources detailing the working principles of flux meters, with links to Wikipedia provided for further reading. Users express urgency in finding reliable information on this topic. Understanding the operational basis of flux meters is crucial for accurate field strength measurement.

which should talk about the working principle of Flux meter !

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
