What is the name of this electronic component

AI Thread Summary
The electronic component in question is identified as a resettable counter, specifically a BDC/decade counter, which is equivalent to the 7490. It features inputs for Enable, Clock, and Reset, with four outputs labeled A, B, C, and D. The presence of a label "÷16" suggests it functions as a resettable 4-bit counter, similar to the 7493. The discussion emphasizes the need for additional context to confirm the exact identification of the component. Overall, the consensus points towards it being a resettable counter with specific characteristics.

It's kind of hard to see, but it does look like a resettable counter. Is the pin at the bottom Reset?

It is labeled with 'R' so I would assume so. I agree that this looks like a resettable counter but couldn't it also be a four line multiplexer? A little bit of context would help.

Enable, Clock and Reset are the only inputs, and there are 4 outputs labeled A B C D. A 42 DEMUX would require 1 logic inputs...

@06mangro -- where did you see this component drawing?

Since its labeled "÷16", it would be a resettable 4-bit counter - equivalent to the 7493.
