What's necessary for cordless keyboard & mouse?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the connectivity requirements for a wireless keyboard, specifically whether a Bluetooth adapter or a wireless b/g/n adapter is necessary. It is clarified that wireless keyboards typically come with a USB receiver that plugs into a port, eliminating the need for additional adapters. Regarding compatibility with Linux (Kubuntu), it is noted that standard keyboards should work out of the box without requiring proprietary drivers, unless they have unique functions not supported by standard drivers.

You realize that if you buy a cordless device it comes with a receiver to plug into a USB port?
