Two glass plates, radiation and heat transfer?

AI Thread Summary
To solve for total radiation transmitted through double glazing, consider the emissivity of the glass plates and apply the Stefan-Boltzmann law. For convective heat transfer, use the appropriate heat transfer coefficients for both plates, factoring in the air gap. To calculate heat loss due to forced convection, determine the Nusselt number using the Reynolds and Prandtl numbers, which can be related through empirical correlations or dimensionless analysis. Understanding the relationship between these variables is crucial for accurate calculations. This approach will provide a comprehensive understanding of heat transfer in the described system.

Hey, how would I start solving the total radiation transmitted through one plate, an air gap then another plate (double glazing) as well as the total convective heat transfer across the two plates?

Thanks!

Also, how would I find heat loss due to forced convection? I know that Nu=f(Re, Pr), but I don't know how I would find the function that relates them? :S
