Articles & Journals for Flow from Impinging Jets, Velocity Measurement

AI Thread Summary
Relevant articles and journals for velocity data on flow from impinging jets at Reynolds numbers between 75,000 and 90,000 are limited. A key recommendation is the paper by Cooper et al., published in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer in 1993, which provides velocity data at Re=70,000 specifically for model validation. The discussion highlights the challenge of finding specific velocity data compared to the abundance of heat coefficient data. Further exploration of specialized journals may yield additional resources. Valid velocity measurements are crucial for accurate modeling of impinging jet flows.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good articles or journals with valid and good velocity data for flow from an impinging jet on a flat surface with an approximate Reynolds number of around 75,000 to 90,000? I have looked and seem to have lots of data for heat coefficients but can't narrow it down to velocity data.

Many Thanks

M

Hi all, i have some questions about the tesla turbine: is a tesla turbine more efficient than a steam engine or a stirling engine ? about the discs of the tesla turbine warping because of the high speed rotations; does running the engine on a lower speed solve that or will the discs warp anyway after time ? what is the difference in efficiency between the tesla turbine running at high speed and running it at a lower speed ( as fast as possible but low enough to not warp de discs) and: i...

My water meter is submerged under water for about 95% of the year. Today I took a photograph of the inside of my water meter box because today is one of the rare days that my water meter is not submerged in water. Here is the photograph that I took of my water meter with the cover on: Here is a photograph I took of my water meter with the cover off: I edited the photograph to draw a red circle around a knob on my water meter. Is that knob that I drew a red circle around my meter...
