In summary, the conversation was about a computer experiencing wifi connection issues. The person tried restarting the machine and forgetting the network, but when trying to reconnect, a username and password were requested. The issue was eventually resolved by selecting "wifi settings", toggling the network, and selecting the "security" tab. The person noted that the "Tunneled TLS" setting worked for them after initially trying a different setting. The cause of the problem is unknown, but this solution worked for the person.

Hi PF!

Today my computer randomly didn't connect to wifi. So I restarted the machine, then still unable to connect, I asked my wifi to forget the network. Now when I try connecting to it, it asks for a username and password. At the bottom there is a "connect" button I could toggle, but it is grayed out, I cannot click it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just fixed the issue. Evidently you need to select "wifi settings", toggle the network you want to connect to, and then select the "security" tab. For some reason "Tunneled TLS" works for me, though I should note initially it was this, so I toggled off to a different setting, tried connecting, then reselected Tunneled TLS. Unsure how long it'll work or why the problem came in the first place, but this worked for me.

To troubleshoot your Ubuntu WIFI connection, you can try the following steps:
1. Check if your WIFI is turned on and that your device is connected to the correct network.
2. Make sure your router is functioning properly by checking other devices connected to the same network.

4. Check if your WIFI driver is up-to-date.
5. Try connecting to a different network.
