Control Engineering: Load Variation & Effects on Open/Closed Loop Systems

AI Thread Summary
Load variation significantly impacts both open and closed loop control systems, affecting stability and performance. In open loop systems, the control action is independent of the output, making them less adaptable to load changes. Closed loop systems, however, utilize feedback to adjust their actions based on output, enhancing accuracy and response to load variations. The operating time of a closed loop system is influenced by the feedback loop's responsiveness, while the set point serves as the desired target for the system to achieve. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for effective control system design and operation.

hi everyone I've jst started a control unit at college and i hope some one can help me out with this question?

Explain the effect of load variation on open and closed loop control systems. State the purpose of each stage and clearly show the direction of information flow. Explain the effects of the operating time of a closed loop and state the purpose of a set point??

thanks in advance...
