Finding Factors of Numbers with a TI-83 Calculator

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on using a TI-83 calculator to find the factors of a number, specifically asking if there's a built-in function or a program available. Users suggest searching for TI-83 factoring programs online, noting that many programs are designed for factoring trinomials rather than listing factors of a single number. A key concern is how to transfer these programs from a computer to the calculator. The conversation highlights the need for a simple solution to list factors, like inputting 200 and receiving outputs such as 1x200 and 2x100. Overall, users are seeking a straightforward method to achieve this functionality on their TI-83 calculators.

i got a ti-83 calculator, is there any way to put in a number and get the factors listed for me? like put in the number 200 and get it to return 1x200,2x100 and so on...

if not is there any program out there to enter into the calculator to make that happen

how do i get them from the computer to my calculator though? and most of them looked like a program that would factor trinomials and equations for you i just want to list factors of one number

Kindly see the attached pdf. My attempt to solve it, is in it. I'm wondering if my solution is right. My idea is this: At any point of time, the ball may be assumed to be at an incline which is at an angle of θ(kindly see both the pics in the pdf file). The value of θ will continuously change and so will the value of friction. I'm not able to figure out, why my solution is wrong, if it is wrong .
TL;DR Summary: I came across this question from a Sri Lankan A-level textbook. Question - An ice cube with a length of 10 cm is immersed in water at 0 °C. An observer observes the ice cube from the water, and it seems to be 7.75 cm long. If the refractive index of water is 4/3, find the height of the ice cube immersed in the water. I could not understand how the apparent height of the ice cube in the water depends on the height of the ice cube immersed in the water. Does anyone have an...
