Help need for piezoelectric analysis using ansys

AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around challenges faced in conducting piezoelectric analysis for an active vibration control project using ANSYS. The user is specifically struggling with the application of voltage and stimulation aspects of the analysis. Despite checking the manuals, they have not found the necessary guidance and are seeking help urgently. Other participants suggest that the manuals should be available if the software was installed correctly and recommend accessing the ANSYS portal for additional resources. The conversation emphasizes the importance of using the correct version and accessing official documentation for effective troubleshooting.

Hi,i'm working on project called active vibration control using piezoelectric patches through ANSYS.
But I'm finding difficulties in piezoelectric analysis(application of voltage and stimulation part).
Hoping someone would have solved it ,please guide me its very urgent.
thanking you

Have you checked the manual? I haven't personally ran any of these analyses, but I know for sure that examples do exist in the manual.

Sir,i have gone through the manuals but its not there? I'm finding difficult to solve it ,can u guide me if ur confident about this analysis

I know for a fact that there is an entire chapter about piezoelectric analyses. What version are you using?

Sir, I'm using ANSYS 10 for the analysis.if u find the piezoelectric analysis manual online can u please send me the link.So that i will be benefited,
thank u.

You should have the manuals if the program was installed properly. I doubt you'll find the files online anywhere. Log into the ANSYS portal using your customer/user ID to download any files that you need for ANSYS.

I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft. I will put support beams across these cantilever arms to support the load evenly
Thread 'What's the most likely cause for this carbon seal crack?'
We have a molded carbon graphite seal that is used in an inline axial piston, variable displacement hydraulic pump. One of our customers reported that, when using the “A” parts in the past, they only needed to replace them due to normal wear. However, after switching to our parts, the replacement cycle seems to be much shorter due to “broken” or “cracked” failures. This issue was identified after hydraulic fluid leakage was observed. According to their records, the same problem has occurred...
