Engineering How to design a combinational circuit with the function equal to 1

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on designing a combinational circuit for a function E that is always equal to 1, as determined by a Karnaugh map filled with ones and a don't care condition. The user is unsure whether to include the variables x, y, and z in the circuit design or if a direct connection to logic high (1) suffices. A truth table confirms that the function E is true for all binary inputs. The conversation highlights the importance of understanding how to represent constant functions in circuit design. Ultimately, the circuit can be simplified to just a wire connecting to logic high.

Homework Statement

I solved the Karnaugh map of the function E being equal to 1 because the Karnaugh map was all ones and a don't care. I'm trying to draw the combinational circuit but I don't know if I need the variables x, y and z in the circuit or is the circuit just a wire between 1 and the function E.

Can you post the question? The answer would depend on how it's worded.

no there is no question. I constructed a truth table where the function E happens to be 1 for all binary numbers and therefore the function equals to 1.
