    I'm not sure why they conclude that the organisms drifted to the upper atmosphere as opposed to being deposited on the surface whilst on Earth and transported up there.

    Was this the first cleaning of the surface?
    Regular cleaning would rule out contamination from the surface.
    Article does really talk about the cleaning schedule.

    Forbes article about Russia ISS claims

    Sorry to mods if this is still not appropriate, but here is a Forbes article seemingly debunking some claims released by chief of the Russian ISS orbital mission Vladimir Solovyev regarding "sea plankton" found outside ISS. Propaganda move on Russia's part?
