Why Does My Car's Fuel Gauge Show False Readings on Hills?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on a user experiencing false fuel gauge readings while driving on hills. They seek a solution using a gyro and known resistance from their car's fuel tank to obtain accurate readings. Suggestions include researching various fluid level measurement methods, with a specific mention of a reliable sight gauge used in boating. The conversation emphasizes the importance of exploring different measurement techniques to address the issue effectively. Accurate fuel gauge readings are crucial for safe driving, especially in hilly terrains.

hello
i am new here. I am facing a problem in fuel gauge that when i drive for a long time on hills it start to show false value. I decided to solve this problem i have a gyro and known resistance from fuel tank of my car and now i want to have true value all the time please help me with it or suggest any other method.

How about this? http://www.sensorsmag.com/sensors/leak-level/a-dozen-ways-measure-fluid-level-and-how-they-work-1067

You should do your own research before posting questions here.

Edit: In addition to the dozen methods above, l should mention the most reliable of all methods. I use it on my boat -- the sight gauge.

Thread 'I need a concave mirror with a focal length length of 150 feet'
I need to cut down a 3 year old dead tree from top down so tree causes no damage with small pieces falling. I need a mirror with a focal length of 150 ft. 12" diameter to 36" diameter will work good but I can't think of any easy way to build it. Nothing like this for sale on Ebay. I have a 30" Fresnel lens that I use to burn stumps it works great. Tree service wants $2000.
Hi all, i have some questions about the tesla turbine: is a tesla turbine more efficient than a steam engine or a stirling engine ? about the discs of the tesla turbine warping because of the high speed rotations; does running the engine on a lower speed solve that or will the discs warp anyway after time ? what is the difference in efficiency between the tesla turbine running at high speed and running it at a lower speed ( as fast as possible but low enough to not warp de discs) and: i...
