AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on a physics project requiring the plotting of py vs px vs time and v1 potential vs time using provided data. The user is confused about whether py and px are the same or if separate equations are needed, specifically questioning the use of w=theta/time for these variables. It is clarified that to derive px and py, one should use the equations Px = P*Cos(theta) and Py = P*Sin(theta). Additionally, there is a suggestion to utilize a spreadsheet for plotting the graphs. The user expresses uncertainty about the correct appearance of their graph, indicating a need for further clarification.

Homework Statement

I am supposed to use the data provided to plot py vs px vs time and use v1 px to plot v1 potential vs time.

Homework Equations

I am assuming I must use w=theta/time for py/px

and this is where I am stuck is py/px the same think, or is there a separate equation for those? or is it the provided P in the project?

The Attempt at a Solution

This project has me really confused at the moment so this post may not make a lot of sense. I have uploaded the project.

If I've understood correctly it actually says to plot..

Py vs Px

The table gives values for theta and P which you can convert to components Px and Py. See the diagram to the right of the table.

So, to get to px and py, would I use an equation involving theta and P? Or how would I do that?

Yes. I would suggest ...

Px = P*Cos(theta)
Py = P*Sin(theta)

Try a spreadsheet?

PS: I'm not at all familiar with heart monitoring!

umm..does anybody know if my graph should look like this?

Sorry had the wrong graph. (it should not look like the graph in this photo)

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Correct statement about a reservoir with an outlet pipe'
The answer to this question is statements (ii) and (iv) are correct. (i) This is FALSE because the speed of water in the tap is greater than speed at the water surface (ii) I don't even understand this statement. What does the "seal" part have to do with water flowing out? Won't the water still flow out through the tap until the tank is empty whether the reservoir is sealed or not? (iii) In my opinion, this statement would be correct. Increasing the gravitational potential energy of the...
