Thermo fluid or oil and gas scope?

AI Thread Summary
Choosing between thermo fluid and oil and gas for a thesis depends on personal interest, with a suggestion to focus on thermo fluid applications within the oil and gas sector. The thermal fluid sciences encompass a wide range of research and applications, making it essential to narrow down the topic. There are numerous applications of thermo fluids in both upstream and downstream oil and gas processes. Exploring specific areas within thermal fluid sciences related to oil and gas can provide a solid foundation for the thesis. Focusing on a niche topic will help in developing a more targeted and relevant thesis.

hi...i'm a mechanical student..this semester I'm taking thesis subject and i must find a topic about these two of my fav scope before this week..thermo fluid and in oil and gas industry...and i just want to know which one of these is better for me to concentrate on my thesis? but first, i search all the web page but i can't find any of thermo fluid application...maybe there's a lot of thermofluid application out there but I'm lack of experience about this, so that i can't find one..can help me on this?please!

Which one is better is the one that you are more interested in. There is a lot of thermofluids involved in the oil and gas industry as well, so you could look in that area.

i'm interested in thermo fluid application...because so far, i like fluid mechanics btter than any of my subject...but the thing is, i still don't have any idea the application of thermo fluid in the industry..because of that, it's hard for me to find a topic for my thesis..do u have any idea?

The thing is, the thermal fluid sciences are a HUGE area of research and application. You can find some application in just about any major industry, so you really need to narrow down into something more focused than "thermo fluid application". You said you like oil and gas, so why not look into some topic in thermal fluid sciences that pertains to the oil and gas industry. There are a ton of them on both the upstream and downstream side of things.

Posted June 2024 - 15 years after starting this class. I have learned a whole lot. To get to the short course on making your stock car, late model, hobby stock E-mod handle, look at the index below. Read all posts on Roll Center, Jacking effect and Why does car drive straight to the wall when I gas it? Also read You really have two race cars. This will cover 90% of problems you have. Simply put, the car pushes going in and is loose coming out. You do not have enuff downforce on the right...
I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft. I will put support beams across these cantilever arms to support the load evenly
Thread 'What's the most likely cause for this carbon seal crack?'
We have a molded carbon graphite seal that is used in an inline axial piston, variable displacement hydraulic pump. One of our customers reported that, when using the “A” parts in the past, they only needed to replace them due to normal wear. However, after switching to our parts, the replacement cycle seems to be much shorter due to “broken” or “cracked” failures. This issue was identified after hydraulic fluid leakage was observed. According to their records, the same problem has occurred...
