Where Can I Find Reliable Solubility Data for Various Mixtures and Temperatures?

AI Thread Summary
A user is seeking recommendations for a reliable solubility database to find specific data on water-toluene, water-hexane, and water-MEK mixtures at 40°C, as well as the densities of pure solvents at that temperature. They mention that the IUPAC-NIST database did not provide the necessary information. A response highlights that water-MEK is infinitely miscible and suggests that the user may not find the desired values in the databases they have tried. A recommended resource for solubility data is the "Handbook of Aqueous Solubility Data" by Yalkowsky, He, and Jain, published by CRC Press in 2010.

HI,

Do you have any suggestion for a good solubility database? I tried IUPAC-NIST but I can't find the data I need there (water-toluene, water-hexane, water-MEK mixtures at 40°C). I am also looking for the densities of the pure solvents at 40°C.

Thank you

First approximation? "Not?" Ditto water-hexane. Water-MEK is infinitely miscible.

Dear Bystander,
Thank you fro your answer. I am looking for actual values.

Here a really good book on the topic:

Yalkowsky, Samuel H., Yan He, and Parijat Jain. Handbook of aqueous solubility data. CRC press, 2010.

I want to test a humidity sensor with one or more saturated salt solutions. The table salt that I have on hand contains one of two anticaking agents, calcium silicate or sodium aluminosilicate. Will the presence of either of these additives (or iodine for that matter) significantly affect the equilibrium humidity? I searched and all the how-to-do-it guides did not address this question. One research paper I found reported that at 1.5% w/w calcium silicate increased the deliquescent point by...
