I need a book that will explain tha statistical methods that we use in the analysis of the laboratory exercises done in the first years of a physics course. Stuff like standard deviation, standard error etc and also in handling errors. I know the formulas and some general instructions on where to use them, i just want some further explanation and a mathematical proof if possible so that i really know what i am doing and not just copy formulas from a book. Any suggestions?

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
