Hi,

i don't even know if there is any solution to this... still trying my luck

i am working pn a project related to potentiostat
the potentiostat cirucuit needs to be tested with an electrochemical cell?
My issue is i am supposed to find an circuit which can behave like an electrochemical cell ( using a dummy load?)
Please let me knw if there is any circuit which behaves in the same way like an electrochemical cell

All electrochemical cells can be closely modeled as resisters and capacitors. Resistors represent transport or conductive losses and capacitors can be used to represent the Helmholtz double layers for both anodic and cathodic electrodes.

For example, here is a very simple circuit that could be used to model a battery or fuel cell.

The above circuit may meet your requirements for your project but keep in mind that to accurately model most electrochemical devices, the equivalent circuits are actually quite complicated and require more than resistive and capacitive components. For more information on equivalent circuits, do a search for "Electro Impedance Spectroscopy".

I also have a similar problem. I have impedance data of an electrode which is being used for nerve stimulation and I want to make an equivalent model for it. I am using z view software to make an equivalent circuit but till now I have not succeeded in making a suitable model using my data.
