If I install stronger PC power supply in terms of watts

AI Thread Summary
Upgrading to a higher wattage power supply does not pose a risk of damaging components in a PC. Even if a power supply has a higher capacity, the system will only draw the amount of power it needs. For example, if the total power requirement of the components is 50 W and a 100 W power supply is installed, the PC will still only consume 50 W. There is no waste of power in this scenario; the power supply simply has more capacity than is currently utilized. Overclocking may benefit from a higher wattage supply, but it is not necessary for standard operation.

...than my current unit,is there danger that some component in my PC will be destroyed?

Although if you intend on overclocking I think this is helpful.

But if my PC requires less power overall, does that mean that remaining power will be wasted?

If you have components that use a total of 50 W of power and you put in a 100 W supply then your computer will still just use 50 W of power. You won't "waste power", but your power supply will have more capacity than is being used.

This week, I saw a documentary done by the French called Les sacrifiés de l'IA, which was presented by a Canadian show Enquête. If you understand French I recommend it. Very eye-opening. I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
