Any ideas for grade 12 Physics project?

AI Thread Summary
Ideas for a grade 12 physics project should focus on unique applications within the curriculum, avoiding common topics. Suggestions include building a gyroscope, which is both engaging and likely to stand out among peers. Other potential areas of exploration could involve innovative experiments related to forces and motion, energy and momentum, or the wave nature of light. Projects should remain budget-friendly while demonstrating key physics principles. Creative approaches to these subjects can lead to an impressive and educational presentation.

I have this so called in class physics fair and its pretty much a project. But I'm having trouble thinking of a topic that is not of the common ones other people have done. Of course it has to be related to the grade 12 physics course and be within a small range budget?

The grade 12 course includes:

Unit 1 - Forces and Motion:Dynamics
Unit 2 - Energy and Momentum
Unit 3 - Electric, Gravitational, and Magnetic Fields
Unit 4 - The Wave Nature of Light
Unit 5 - Matter - Energy Interface

So if anyone has any cool ideas that they might have done before, I would appreciate hearing them out. I just can't think of what to do. And please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section.

gyroscope - always cool and I'll bet nobody in your class will make one

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
