Transistor connection in the discharge path of the 555 timer

    In this circuit I Think the emitter and collector terminal of the transistors T1 & T2 will be reverse. Otherwise the 555 timer will not discharge. Can anyone help pls?

    Pin 7 is the discharge pin. C1 seems to charge via the three diodes, and the purpose of T1 and T2 would be to control the discharge. I agree with you, they are around the wrong way to accomplish this.
