5 million times 5 percent would be 5000000 X 0.05. When you do this on a calculator you get 250000 but when you do it on paper you end up with more zeros in the answer. When you multiply percents on paper what is the easiest way to figure out how many zeros go in your answer?
i want to be able to test the ph of foods and drinks so I purchesed a digital ph tester for water. Is there a better ph tester option ? If I wanted to test the ph of something like mayonnaise would I just stick the tester into the mayo or would I need to mix the mayo with water first?
When you have a question that requires you to look at a chart or graph then answer the question using math what are these types of questions called? are they just word problems or is there another name for them? any advice on how I can get better at doing these types of questions ?
