Suggest good books for exam preparation

AI Thread Summary
For AIEEE and BITSAT 2007 preparation, recommended objective books include "Physics for Scientists and Engineers" by Serway and "Physics for Scientists and Engineers" by PA Tipler. These texts are comprehensive and well-regarded for their engineering applications in physics. Clarifying the specific content and structure of the exams could lead to more tailored textbook recommendations. Engaging with others who have experience with these exams may provide additional insights into effective study materials. Understanding the exam format is crucial for selecting the right resources.

I have no idea what those exams entail but if they're admission exams perhaps books such as Serway: Physics for Scientists and Engineers, and similar books may help such as PA Tipler 1999 Physics for Scientists and Engineers (4e), etc which are rather lengthy bt very well written books about physics with engineering applications.

If you could elaborate as to what exactly the exams entail perhaps more people could contribute more precise textbooks.

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
I am attempting to use a Raman TruScan with a 785 nm laser to read a material for identification purposes. The material causes too much fluorescence and doesn’t not produce a good signal. However another lab is able to produce a good signal consistently using the same Raman model and sample material. What would be the reason for the different results between instruments?
