Just use rltool, choose your specifications and then vary the zero such that the closed loop poles lie inside the area that isn't shaded. You should be able to identify an upper and lower bound for the zero.

1. What is Control System Design?

Control System Design is a branch of engineering that deals with the design, analysis, and optimization of systems that control the behavior of other systems. These systems can range from simple household appliances to complex industrial systems.

2. What are the key components of a Control System?

The key components of a Control System include sensors, actuators, controllers, and feedback mechanisms. Sensors measure the output of the system, while actuators manipulate the system's input. Controllers use algorithms to process the sensor data and make decisions, and feedback mechanisms provide information to the controller for adjustments.

3. What are the steps involved in designing a Control System?

The steps involved in designing a Control System include system modeling, controller design, simulation, and implementation. System modeling involves creating a mathematical representation of the system, while controller design involves choosing the appropriate control algorithm. Simulation is used to test the system before implementation, and implementation refers to the actual construction and installation of the control system.

4. Why is Control System Design important?

Control System Design is important because it allows for the efficient and effective control of complex systems. It helps to improve system performance, reduce errors, and increase productivity. Control systems are used in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and healthcare.

5. What are some common challenges in Control System Design?

Some common challenges in Control System Design include system complexity, uncertainty, and instability. Control systems must be able to handle unexpected changes in the system and maintain stability. Other challenges include designing for robustness, ensuring safety, and dealing with system limitations such as time delays and nonlinearities.
