I very occasionally snore exactly once and always loud enough to wake myself up. There are some anecdotal claims that I frequently snore like a blunt saw through cross-grained wood and only occasionally wake myself up (see for example MrsIbix2001a and MrsIbix2001b for some early reports, and a recent comprehensive review in MrsIbix2021).
