International Year of Astronomy 2009

Back in 2005, we had the "World Year of Physics 2005" (WYP2005).
In 2009, we will have the "International Year of Astronomy 2009" (IYA2009).

An upcoming event is the American Astronomical Society (AAS) and Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri from May 31 to June 5 2008. Details are available at www.astrosociety.org/events/meeting.html.
