If you misplace a HW-type post, do you deserve a smack on the back of the head?

We make great effort to ensure that HW/Coursework-type posts are placed in the HW/Coursework forum. We also make great effort in ensuring that every member would not miss this requirement. We made three different notices to draw everyone's attention to this requirement:

1. It is plainly stated in the PF Rules that everyone had agreed to.

2. In the physics forums, we have posted Sticky thread with the blatant title "Do Not Post Your HW Here". Can't get any clearer than that.

3. But if you miss ALL that, when you are about to make your post, there's a warning, written in RED no less, telling you not to post HW-type questions outside of the HW/Coursework forum.

Now c'mon, realistically, how does one misses ALL of those notices? You think there are mysteries of the universe? Well, I think seeing misplaced HW still occurring is one of the major mysteries of the universe. You are either blind, completely oblivious, or can't understand English for you to not realize what you should and should not do. If you are that oblivious and missed paying attention to something as obvious as that, then I would say that maybe, just maybe, the problem that you are having with the HW question might be a symptom of your inability to focus and pay attention to the information that is being displayed in front of you.

But because of this, we send out infractions or warnings whenever we see such a misplaced post. If you were oblivious to all the warnings and notices on where to post, consider this as a good smack on the back of the head to make you sit up and take notice. Maybe you might start realizing that you need to read more carefully what is blatantly obvious being displayed in front of your face.

To all you amazing PF members who are generous with your time and effort to help people with HW issues, please note that if a HW-type question is being posted in the wrong forum, there's a good chance that the whole thread will be deleted without it being moved to the appropriate forum. This is certainly the case if the original poster did not abide by our requirement that he/she shows attempts at solving the question first. So think of this before you spend time and effort in responding to misplaced HW-type questions. There's a possibility that the thread (and thus, your responses) will disappear into thin air.
