Ah, that was my old screen name, back in the day, way before the craziness that became my life... there's so much I want to say! Its been years since I posted anything on this forum, but now that I'm back in school, it seems appropriate to come back and utilize the resources here once again.
If I'm remembered, great. If not, that's probably better. hah.
My first math class in nearly 6 years begins on Tuesday, and it should be interesting...
I remember when I learned long division. I came home, terribly excited about how great I was at it and how neat it was to "carry over" numbers, and showed my father my amazing talent. He responded by saying "oh yeah, watch this." Thus was my introduction to binary addition. From that day on, I was in love with math...
But that love affair has been on hiatus...
The girl who started college at 16, dropped out at 18, traveled the country like a vagabond, worked so many crazy odd jobs and lived in so many places, who eventually joined the Navy, got a degree in Arabic, has now been accepted to an Ivy League school that she never could have been admitted to straight out of high school. Life is a funny thing, eh?
There are so many stories to tell from the past few years, but right now the focus is on today. I'm finally back, going to earn that math degree I've coveted for so long. I am back in academia, and back on PF. Cheers to growing up, getting smarter, and going back to fix past mistakes!
And Cheers to everyone who will be helping me in the future as I struggle to learn new topics and relearn old topics in my final attempt to finish the degree I started 6 or 7 years ago!

I do remember your username from the beginnings of physicsforums.
