A couple of questions

Posted Dec8-08 at 11:56 AM by WCOLtd

Does volumetric space-time have energy associated with it?
Can you convert mass or energy into space-time? and if so, what is the conversion rate equal to?

Physical Law of Scale - Hypothesis

This stems back to the first idea I ever had which I seriously considered, back even before I was ever part of interlocution club. (a little club I started with a friend back in high school)

the whole idea had to do with the hypothesis that all forces were the same force. For instance, I knew somethings about atomic structure - i don't know if I interpreted it correctly - but I knew that there was a force that bonds atomic nuclei together, and this force works good up until the size...

Inquiries into 1997ff

I was watching a video on youtube Richard Feynman's "Take the world from another point of view" - the third video - 5:20 - 7:13
they were talking arbitrarily about some problem with a quasar, that observations did not meet physical requirements, stating; "If there were any cause for a redshift as big as that other than a recession it would be alright but under the present physical law there doesn't seem to be a place for such a redshift" But we can't get it to fit right"....

Counter a crackpot theory

Posted Nov18-08 at 04:18 PM by WCOLtd

A few years ago, when I was a kid, I had the idea that maybe mass creates mass.

Here's how it came about,

I knew that through high energy collisions, you can create mass out of relative energy between particles, when they collide at high enough speed, they can produce new particles.

I also knew that the higher the temperature of any given body of mass, the faster particles are bouncing around, or the greater the kinetic energy between gas particles....

Gravitational Kinematics Part I; Inertial Definitions

Updated Dec10-08 at 05:10 PM by WCOLtd

Welcome to Gravitational Kinematics - an exploratory series of blogs looking to answer questions about gravity, and perhaps uncover some unconventional notions of it's effects.

Imagine a universe in which there exists only two bodies of mass - none of which revolve about their axis. Imagine staring down at both bodies and observing one smaller body orbiting around another larger body.

You may then ask yourself, why isn't the smaller mass falling in towards the...
