This seems the best way to post up some info without making a thread in General Discussion, so I guess I'll break down and blog, but I promise not to like it.

The username does not mean what most people will think it does. I'm not a pessimist or nihilist, but simply one who finds thermodynamics fascinating (entropy would have been too boring a name anyway).

I'm a former engineering student who wandered away before completion, but my road will lead back soon enough....
