Ptsd

I'm back after almost 3 years! I'm glad my blog is still here. In re-reading some of it, it captures alot that was going on with me at the time. Well we went broke, lost our home in Atlanta, GA, moved in with my mother in Ohio in Aug. 2010. I left my son behind so he could continue his education there and he went on to college. He is barely making ends meet. My husband, daughter and I have had to adjust living with mom. Everything is better now. My husband is working, my daughter has a best friend and I am getting the best help available for my PTSD symptoms. I'm also bipolar. Those dreams I was having are called flashbacks. Also having nightmares and body memories. These symptoms are caused by the kidnapping, rape and torture I had done by an Iranian in 1980. I'm doing better now thanks to a super therapist who got me to journal my bad memories and feelings of those memories on paper. I also attend a PTSD group. I also have had a masectomy since being here in Ohio. Luckily the breast cancer did not spread. I will write more later. It is good to be back and I hope some of you remember me!
